Jake Engle
At 6 feet 2 inches, 185 lbs, 16 year old Jake Engle from San Diego was born to race. From the moment he participated in his first driving lesson at age seven, he was the fastest in the class. His limitless talent is displayed in each performance winning him awards and accolades nationally at each level. He has an exquisite combination of intellect, confidence and competitive nature while on the track. Yet, he exudes a humility, sensitivity and warm personality that attracts racers, fans and media alike.
With a hefty schedule ahead, Jake is maximizing seat time to best prepare for the top three series in NASCAR when he turns 18. He plans on competing in the NASCAR Camping World West Series and a NASCAR Whelen Super Late Model this year under current team name, McCray Motorsports.
Jake began his career by racing karts back in 2002. Competing against older drivers at the young age of 12, Jake made his mark in the racing world by winning the World Karting Association (WKA) West National Championship in the Junior 2 HPV and Junior Super Sportsman classes. He also dominated the WKA’s Grand National Championship for Junior-ICA (JICA), an international class for junior karters, winning by half a lap. Later, he went on to win his inaugural U.S. Karting Championship in the men’s TAG class at the age of 13.
Beyond his passion for racing, Jake is a committed student at The Landmark School in Boston, MA. He understands the importance of education and proudly maintains a 3.89 GPA. A proven well rounded athlete in just his sophomore year, he proudly plays varsity lacrosse and varsity fútbol (soccer).

• 2009 Jan 23, Irwindale Speedway, Nascar Toyota Shootout, started 52nd, passed 24 cars in 5 green flag laps, race terminated due to weather.
• 2008 Orange Show Speedway 1st Super Late Model Race-8th
• 2008 4 Legend Car Races at Irwindale Speedway-highest finsh 7th

• Over 100 “A” Main Wins in 5 years of Karting
